Online Portfolio for Photography - 40% of your trimester grade
IMPORTANT: DO NOT SHARE YOUR FULL NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER OR EMAIL ON YOUR SITE
All students in photography will create an online portfolio using www.weebly.com. Your online portfolio will showcase your best photographs (both digital and darkroom) you have taken while in this class. Below are the pages you need for your portfolio
1) Home Page - This page is About Me. Begin with a statement from you describing you, what types of photography you enjoy, and what do you like about photography? What camera do you take pictures with, what apps do you like to use or what software. Find a professional photographer online and discuss what do you admire about their work? Add a link to their online portfolio.
2) Ansel Adams: Wild America Page - select your favorite 10 photographs for your "Wild America" page. Create a folder on your desktop and save the photos into this folder. Add a title, a text box with a link to his gallery's website and a gallery of his photographs. Add a caption to each photo with the name of the photo and the year it was taken.
3) Digital Page- This page will have 4 galleries showcasing your original photographs. (If you prefer, you may put each gallery on a separate page)
4) Photography Apps Page - review three apps for photo editing. Please include a 5 star rating and a picture of the apps icon on your page.
5) Darkroom Page- This page demonstrates your knowledge of the process of developing film, (write out 10 steps) and making prints in the darkroom (also 10 steps). Please use your own words when writing out the step by step by step. Also include 4 original photos taken in our darkroom, plus a photo of your prints hanging on the drying line. That would be a total of 5 photos on your darkroom page.
OPTIONAL - Other Photos - this page is for photos that you have taken outside of the scope of this class but would like to share on your portfolio.
EXTRA CREDIT: (complete both items below to get up to 5 extra points on your trimester grade)
1) Add a link to your Pinterest page with your photography boards.
2) Write a paragraph for each one of your galleries. Discuss the camera you used, where you shot the photos, and what you used to edit your work. Feel free to add more if you like. What you like best about a particular photo etc... etc...
